All About the Dawg House
The Dawg House was started in May 2019. I already had my dog Bruce who attended Paws and Away Daycare.
One day, while sat in the office at work, I got word about the business being put up for sale and I knew I had to take the risk. The next day I signed the papers and became the proud owner of the Dawg House.
Alongside me was my best friend Becks, my Manager and best friend, for over 25 years. Together we blindly began to build an amazing dream.
Through the years we have survived Covid, Kennel Cough outbreaks and a few trials and errors. The Dawg House is now a very successful 5 Star Rated business with dog numbers at an all time high. A team of 5 girls (myself, Becks, Rebecca, Leah and Lauren) that work as hard as they can and we are opening our second location in January.
I work 7 days a week with boarding and daycare taking up 99.9% of my time. Luckily, I have an amazing partner at home and my 2 pooches, Bruce and Belles. Without them and my girls it would not at all be possible.
Our Services
Daycare
We have 2 amazing units. 1 fully indoor and 1 offering indoor/outdoor areas.
We offer full day daycare Monday to Friday, 7am until 6pm.
We provide an exciting and stimulating environment where your dog will be loved and become part of the family.
Daycare provides a change for your dog to exercise and socialise with other dogs.
Saturday Daycare
We provide daycare on a Saturday from 9am until 4pm.
This is perfect if you are off to work or out for the day.
Baths and Blowdrys
While your dog is at daycare you can book them in for a bath, blowdry and de-shed.
This is a perfect option if you don’t have time yourself.
We can get them all pampered ready for pick up at the end of the day.
Home Boarding
We offer your dog a loving home boarding experience.
Your dog will attend daycare during the day then return to Sophie’s home in the evening for a much needed rest. We try to stick to your dog’s home routine as much as possible to ensure they have a little holiday they enjoy as much as you.
Trial Sesssions
Before booking any of our services and joining the Dawg House family, you must book a trial session for your dog. Trial sessions run from 9.30am until 2.30pm.
During this time we will introduce your dog into daycare life and make sure that they are suitable for the environment.
Pricing Plan, Booking Process and Cancellation Policy
Pricings vary dependent upon the duration and type of service you require. If you want any information on prices for daycare and boarding please get in contact via email.
Bookings are made through my booking and management App, My Pet Walker. Each client has their own login for this app once I have set you up on it following successful Trial Session. In the App days for Daycare can be selected and paid for by card. Clients can then manage their bookings within the App, rescheduling as necessary. We do not accept cancellations or process refunds.
I will happily take inquiries through social media contact. Initial consultations will allow me to understand your requirements, the environment of your dog and address any concerns or questions you may have.
Bookings can be taken up to 3 months in advance using the My Pet Walker App.

What a fantastic place this is 💛 If you want to get your dog socialising with other dogs more – then this is the place. My Frenchie & my parents’ Staffy went last week for a trial, and then did their first full day on Monday. It’s really bringing the Staffy out of her shell as she is such a softie at the moment thanks to being marded by my mum 😂🙈 Will be a regular thing for them as they both seem to really enjoy it. My dog Izzy has been going here since she was a puppy, she absolutely loves to go and loves socialising with the other dogs. She’s booked in for boarding in August and I’m confident she’s going to have an amazing time and not want to come home. The staff are always very friendly and answer any questions that I have. Love the fact that they put daily photos up too.
